At Minneriya Wild Elephant Safari, we strive to provide a smooth and enjoyable booking experience. Please read our Refund and Cancellation Policy carefully before making a reservation.

1. Booking Confirmation

Your safari booking is confirmed only after payment (full or partial, where applicable) has been successfully received and a confirmation has been sent by Minneriya Wild Elephant Safari.

2. Cancellation by the Customer

If you need to cancel your booking:

• Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled safari departure are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled safari departure are non-refundable.

• Failure to arrive at the agreed pickup location or scheduled departure time ("no-show") will be treated as a cancellation made within 24 hours and no refund will be issued.

Cancellation requests must be submitted via email, WhatsApp, or any official contact method provided on our website. The time your cancellation request is received will determine your eligibility for a refund.

3. Cancellation by Minneriya Wild Elephant Safari

In rare situations, we may need to cancel or postpone a safari due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

• Severe weather conditions

• National park closures

• Government restrictions

• Safety concerns

• Vehicle breakdowns or unforeseen operational issues

If we cancel your booking, you may choose one of the following:

• Reschedule your safari to another available date; or

• Receive a full refund of any amount paid.

4. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.

Please allow 5–10 business days for refunds to be processed, although processing times may vary depending on your bank, credit card provider, or payment service.

Any transaction fees charged by payment providers may be deducted where permitted by applicable law.

5. Changes to Bookings

Requests to change the date or time of a booking should be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled safari.

While we will do our best to accommodate changes, all requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

6. Wildlife Sightings

Our safaris take place in a natural wildlife environment. Although Minneriya National Park is well known for its elephant gatherings, wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Refunds will not be issued if expected animals are not seen during the safari.
